Welcome to the READ 6100: Uses of Technology in Reading Wiki!
Introduction
There are two primary purposes of this Wiki: to serve as a means of communication between classmates and professors and to serve as the course home.
The wiki is also designed to showcase specific technology and literacy related websites, articles, activities, eBooks, Web 2.0 tools, and more; resulting in, hopefully, careful consideration of how to incorporate technology into literacy instruction.
Beyond this, it will house announcements and open up a discussion forum.
Finally, this wiki will act as a model for your own future wiki construction assignment.
Class Schedule
The course will be delivered, primarily, through this wiki online forum. Additionally, you will need to check your email several times a week. There is also a possibility that sometime during the semester we will meet in a live online chat. If this possibility becomes an actuality, I will notify with specific details. In the meantime, you should visit the site below to familiarize yourself with the design.
Please see the various pages within this wiki to view the syllabus, assignment sheets, examples, and multiple resources. It is critical that you check the wiki daily for updates. When emailing, please avoid the wiki email. Instead, use my TTU email address:
